Fueling the Passion Online: Using Social Media to Grow Your Business
Is there a way to use social media to share your passion with the world? If you know your mission, passion, and purpose, and you want to make a positive impact on the world, social media can help you do it. Whether you are a professional, entrepreneur, or leader, you can find and fuel your passion with like-minded individuals locally or all over the world who want to hear from you. Social media is the new “word of mouth” marketing, and with it comes incredible power. Learn how to build a community and develop a platform for your brand, business, organization, or cause.
Julie Welles has worked in marketing most of her life. She’s built businesses and organizations through people-to-people connections, including owning her own retail store for 10 years, educational product sales, nonprofit management, banking, and other ventures. She’s found that in every organization, its core of success is all about engaging people authentically with genuine care. It’s Julie’s goal to help others to use the power of social media effectively to share their unique message and develop engaging online communities. Julie has a B.S. degree in marketing, is a guest author for About.com and a member/participating author for Social Media Today, and received accreditation from Inbound Marketing University. She is an award-winning designer, a previous board member of several local nonprofit boards, and the current LAEN vice president of marketing.
The mission of the American Business Women’s Association is to bring together businesswomen of diverse occupations and to provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support, and national recognition.
