LAEN meetings are held over breakfast from 7:15 to 9 a.m. – offering the flexibility you require – and include time to network, a guest speaker, and a breakfast buffet. Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month at the Lancaster Country Club (get directions). The cost is $20 for ABWA members and $30 for non-ABWA members. Passing on the Passion: Transitioning Leadership
How do we plan for when we are no longer the boss? What are the areas of consideration when passing the passion for the work that we do? Successful leadership transitions need inspiration, but also require thoughtfully, implemented long-range strategies. Discover four key areas to think through when talking about sustaining your organization beyond your current leadership–when determining the legacy you will leave behind you.
Anne was the director of the Nonprofit Resource Network (NRN), a program of Millersville University, Millersville, Pa., from 2007 to 2013. At the NRN, she “walked alongside” community benefit organizations, increasing their effectiveness, efficiency and financial stability through planning, training, facilitation and referral services. She has also been an adjunct faculty member in the master’s program of Millersville’s School of Social Work since 2009. She has over sixteen years of experience working in the community benefit sector, including as a development officer for Lancaster General Hospital, as community services director for United Way of Lancaster County, and as the emergency social services manager at the American Red Cross. Anne has served as a consultant and trainer for various community organizations and has volunteered for a variety of agencies serving children and youth, persons with physical and mental disabilities, and persons who are in prison or homeless.
